DSRCT Diagnosed 8/02 at age 17 - Passed Away 12/18/04.

Timeline

 08/02   Diagnosed - Tumor was the size of an American football
 09/02   Chemo #1 - 6      VIDE: Vincristine, Ifosfamide, Doxyrubicin, Etoposide         Tumor became much smaller
 04/03   Surgery to remove tumors in abdomen and pelvis
    Chemo # 7 -13     VIE: Vincristine, Ifosfamide, Etoposide
 07/03   Surgery removed 2/3 of liver to extract cancerous nodes growing on it
  Chemo # 14     Etoposide and Cyclophosphamide
  Radiotherapy - 5 times per week for one month            Tumors grew again after radiotherapy
  A trial drug to increase blood flow into the tumors did not work.  Pelvic tumor grew.  Tumors now on liver and in the bowel lining.  Surgery not an option because the tumors are so spread out.
  Phone consultation with Dr. Kushner at MSKCC.   Irinotecan suggested
 04  - 05/04  Chemo #15 - 16   Irinotecan    One hour drip every three weeks
 06/11/04  CT scan
 09/04  CT scan showed tumors still growing.   Will continue with Irinotecan.
